Summary of Our Policy in Plain Language

Gateway Chess League (GCL) is allowed to use pictures and videos they take during their events, even if these pictures include you or your children. Gateway can use these images for things like advertising and promotion on their website or on social media platforms. By agreeing to this, you give up the right to sue GCL for using these pictures and videos. You also promise that you're at least 18 years old and able to agree to this for yourself and the kids you're responsible for during our events. This summary does not replace our legal agreement, which you should read in full before consenting. Also, please let us know if someone in your care should not appear in our promotional materials for legal reasons such as foster care or witness protection and we will ensure their privacy.

I hereby grant The Gateway Chess League (hereinafter referred to as "GCL") the irrevocable right and permission to use photographs and/or video recordings taken during GCL events of me, my minor children, or minor children for whom I am acting in loco parentis, with or without my name or identification, or the name and identification of any minor children who will be in my care during GCL events, for any lawful future purpose, including but not limited to advertising, publicity, marketing, and promotion of GCL events and services.

I understand that the photographs and/or video recordings may be used in various media formats, including but not limited to print, online, and broadcast media. I also understand that GCL may alter, edit, or modify the photographs and/or video recordings in any manner, without any obligation to me.

I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the photographs and/or video recordings, and I release and discharge GCL, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and 3rd-party affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action that I may have arising out of the use of the photographs and/or video recordings, including without limitation any claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, or violation of any right of publicity.

I represent that I am at least 18 years of age and have the full legal capacity to execute this agreement on my behalf and on behalf of any minor children in my care during GCL events.
