Class Tournament Registration is Open


When: November 8th

Where: Parkway Southwest Middle School

Cost: $15 if registered online, $20 on-site


The tournament is 4 rounds. Games are 55 minutes with a 5-second delay.


Players are divided into sections based on rating

  • Premier (Players rated 1400+)

  • Board 1 (Players rated between 1000-1399)

  • Board 2 (Players rated between 700-999)

  • Board 3 (Players rated between 400 to 699)

  • Board 4 (Players rated under 400)


Team divisions are High School (grades 9-12), K-9, K-8, K-6, K-5, and K-3. Teams can enter any number of players. The best four (4) scores regardless of section count towards team awards. Four High School team trophies and two team trophies in the other team sections will be awarded. Five (5) individual trophies in the Premier section and eight (8) trophies in the other sections will be awarded.


This is the third Gateway Grand Prix tournament of the 2025-26 Gateway Chess Season.

Online registration will remain open until 7 PM Thursday, November 6th. Saturday walk-in registration on-site will be available.
