Gateway Chess League Results
The Ladue HS A team completed an undefeated season and claimed Ladue's 8th consecutive Gateway Chess High School League Championship. All the league results are found at the Gateway Chess League Results Page . The Junior League is also complete. The results are posted to the Junior League page. Also, the Gateway Grand Prix is also complete. The final results are posted to the Gateway Grand Prix Results page.

The Missouri State Championships Pre-Registration is Open
Online Pre-Registration for the Missouri State Championships is now open. When: March 7th Where: Battle High School, Columbia, Missouri Cost: $25 if pre-registered online, $30 on-site The High School Division (grades 9-12) is run as a board tournament with four sections, Boards 1 through 4. Teams place their top four players on the four boards respectively, with the remaining team members placed at the coach's discretion. Each board is run as a separate independent section

On January 31st, Gateway Chess organized the 2026 Chris Bollinger Memorial , hosted by Clayton HS. Herrin (IL) HS and Belleville East HS tie for 1st Place in the 2026 Gateway Team Tournament
Yesterday, Gateway Chess organized the 2026 Gateway Team Tournament , hosted by Belleville West HS, with 160 players participating. In the Team Section, Herrin HS and the B team from Belleville East HS tied with a perfect 4.0 points, with Herrin winning the tiebreaker to take home the first place trophy. Registration for the Junior League is Open
Registration is now open for the Gateway Junior Chess League , which will be held at Wydown Middle School starting this Thursday, January 15th, and continuing January 29th, February 5, 12, and 19th, with a makeup date of February 26th. Note, we are skipping January 22nd. There is a one-time entry fee of $15 for all five weeks of the tournament. Online registration will only be open for one week. Missouri State Championships
The tournament flier for the Missouri State Championship has been posted. The tournament is being held on March 7th, 2006. This is earlier in the year than it has been held the past few years. The official host is the Missouri Chess Association, with the assistance of the Gateway Chess League. This tournament is only for scholastic players who attend a Missouri school, or scholastic Missouri players who are home-schooled. Registration will open soon after the Action Tourname

Belleville East HS Wins the 2025 Gateway Blitz Tournament
Yesterday, Gateway Chess organized the 2025 Gateway Blitx Tournament , hosted by St. John Vianney HS, with 138 players participating. Belleville East HS posted their fourth straight victory with 21 points out of a possible 30. CBC HS finished second with 19 points.
