The Gateway Action Tournament Registration is Open


When: February 21st

Where: Crossroads College Prep

Cost: $15 if registered online, $20 on-site


This tournament is fast-paced (six rounds, 25-minute plus 5-second delay time control) where all players compete in a single combined section.


All team scores are based on the top 4 performing players for the team. There are six team divisions:

  • High School (grades 9-12)

  • 9th and Under (grades K-9)

  • 8th and Under (grades K-8)

  • 6th and Under (grades K-6)

  • 5th and Under (grades K-5)

  • 3rd and Under (grades K-3)


All teams must have a minimum of two players to be eligible for team awards.


Individual awards are awarded for each grade level. Even though individuals are playing against all other grades, yous score is compared against others in your same grade for awards.


This is the eighth and final Gateway Grand Prix tournament of the 2025-26 Gateway Chess Season.

Online registration will remain open until 7 PM Thursday, February 19th. Saturday walk-in registration on-site will be available.
