Jackson HS wins the 2026 Gateway Board Tournament

On February 7th, Gateway Chess organized the 2026 Gatewway Board Tournament, hosted by Normansy High School.
In the High School Section Section, Jackson HS took 1st place with a score of 13.0 out of 16 possible.
In the younger team divisions, Wydown MS won the 8th and Under Division, Maplewood-Richmond Hts. ES won the 6th and Under Division, Meramec ES won the 5th and Under Division, and New City School won the 3rd and Under Division.
The Individual champions were:
High School:
Board 1: Ayush Prabhat from Ft. Zumwalt West HS (clear win)
Board 2: Dawson Miller from Jackson HS (clear win)
Board 3: Elias Fann from Jackson HS (clear win)
Board 3: Jaxton Pope from Jackson HS (on tiebreaks)
8th and Under: Sasangka Wahana from Parkway South MS (clear win)
6th and Under: Sikander Manocha from MICDS (on tiebreaks)
5th and Under: Matthew Jesudas from Shenandoah Valley ES (on tiebreaks)
3rd and Under: Elias Burnham from New City School (on tiebreaks)
The Gateway Grand Prix results have been updated. However, there is still a problem with the scores from this tournament's High School boards and Bollinger Memorial for grades 8-12 being slightly too low. A notice will be posted when the results have been fixed.
