Gateway Grand Prix Updates

The results from the Class Tournament have now been included in the Gateway Grand Prix standings.

The changes to the uschess.org site with how tournament rating reports were published required changes to the program used to calculate Gateway Grand Prix results. These changes are now complete.

You will also see some changes to the format. The most obvious is the addition of overall standings and overall win percentage.

One significant change to the process is that we no longer save reports on the Gateway Chess web site, Instead, whenever the Grand Prix standings are calculated, the reports for all tournaments are freshly retrieved from uschess.org. Because US Chess calculates ratings in chronological order of when played and not based on when tournaments are initially submitted for rating, this means there can be changes to the point calculations from previous tournaments, though they are typically only single-digits.

The standings as of each tournament have been recalculated and reposted. All tournament reports will be recalculated after each tournament. The web site will only have the latest version.
